Diversity

Here at Plugged In we value, appreciate and include all the different types of diversity represented in our community. Organizationally, this is a priority. Yet is not our mission to define what diversity means or attatch a political agenda to diversity but to ensure that nobody is left behind in the technological revolution taking place.

There are unique challenges associated with building an organization based on diversity to serve a diverse community. It is much easier to work in an environment where all people are the same than it is to apply yourself to learning to work with individuals from different backgrounds.

Some guiding principles:

• Make everyone feel welcome and included.
• Don't treat people like "clients" but as investors.
• Don't get caught unprepared. Examine the issues before you do the work.
